Super Bowl XLVI Predictions
The biggest sporting event in America is only a few hours away.
No, it’s not the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. It’s Super Bowl time, ladies and gents.
Yes, it is somewhat disappointing to watch this game without any Bay Area representative, but that hasn’t stopped anyone around here from watching the game for the past 9 years, so why should this year be any different?
Like everyone else in America, the Bay Area Ball crew will be stuffing their faces with varying flavors of pizza, chicken wings and more pizza. Before all of that takes place, a few of us have offered our predictions on the game for you, the faithful reader, to aid you in your gambling excursions (Please note that we will not be held responsible if you take our advice and lose. Here we go:
Frank (@MR_FJG_SON):
I’m taking the NY Giants because
A) I don’t like the Patriots
and
B) I think that the New England defense won’t have an answer for [Ben's cousin] Victor Cruz, which means he is gonna have a big game along with Hakeem Nicks.
Giants win 34- 27.
Jordan (@JRAM_91):
I have the Patriots today. There’s no question New York has the more complete team, but this game will be won by #12. You think Tom Brady doesn’t know his last Super Bowl loss came at the hands of this Giants team? Or his last loss this season was against the Giants in his own house? My heart says the Giants, my head says Tom Brady. It pains me to pick the Patriots as an avid Patriot hater, but I just can’t see Tom Brady losing this game. The popular pick is the Giants, which is exactly why I have the Patriots winning. Belichick and Brady an underdog, on turf, in a Super Bowl? I’ll take that.
Patriots – 31, Giants – 30
Aaron (@RoneFace)
I think it will be the Pats by something like 31-24. Pats keep Brady relatively clean and the giants secondary gives up some big plays to Hernandez. The Giants will be able to move the ball easily at times but the Pats will not let Eli get away with his typical 2-3 mistakes the way the 49ers did.
Ben (@cruzkontrol)
As much as it pains me to do so, I’m going with the Patriots and that guy behind center named Brady. Based on tweets and chatter I’ve heard at local eateries and supermarkets, the public seems to be picking the Giants (despite the Patriots actually being favored). As good as the Giants have been playing over the past couple of weeks and as suspect as the Patriots defense can be, it is extremely difficult to pick against Brady. Whether or not Gronkowski is playing (and he will), Brady should be able to have a good game against the Giants and their secondary (provided he can stay upright).
Also, let’s not forget – this man has 3 Super Bowl rings and is married to a Victoria Secret model.
Clearly there’s something in the air that has made this guy a winner.
Patriots – 27 Giants – 23

Tom Brady is God.
Patriots – 38 Giants – 24
