Photos from Oakland Athletics Media Day
Just like we did at the NBA Summer League, BayAreaBall is bringing you photos from the event like no other. Here are some shots that I took from Oakland Athletics Media Day and I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them. So here we go…
Here was my view from the press area when we got a chance to interview Bob Melvin. Guy was a great interview and just exuded why he was a great coach for this team.
This was a shot from the top of the stairs that led us down to the field. Interesting side note, hard to take a picture while walking and trying not to fall. Action Shot Central!
As we walked out Derek Norris was warming up with Kottaras and the beard was in full effect.
Ray Fosse was dropping some knowledge on Colin Cowgill before he interviewed him for his pre-game show.
A shot of the guys warming up and you just don’t realize how hard they throw until your right next to them warming up.
Bob Melvin tending to the media hordes before the Baltimore game last Friday. Shhh, I wasn’t supposed to be in here.
George Kottaras warming up with Norris on the receiving end.
Vince Cotroneo and Ken Korach probably talking about what there call is gonna be on the radio before the game.
Stephen Drew and Jemile Weeks getting in some infield practice before the game.
Josh Reddick warming up before he jumps in the cage for BP.
Cespedes just walking around after warming up looking like he wants to get ready for BP and put some in the Upper Deck.
The buzz around the cage once BP is in full swing and guys are jumping in and out.
A shot from the press conference that we had with Farhan Zaidi, Director of Baseball Operations for the Oakland Athletics.
A.J. Griffin and Brett Anderson giving us some time before the game. Both guys gave good interviews and Anderson was pretty self deprecating and funny throughout.
Took this right after Yoenis Cespedes hit his 2 run homerun and figured what better way to end the post than on a positive note. Hope you enjoyed the pictures and LET”S GO OAKLAND!!!
