especially anything going towards player contracts for this season and the next couple upcoming.
About the only thing safe to count-on about the OAK A's/San Jose situation is that even if they came to a solution...it would still take FOREVER to cut all the red-tape draped EVERYWHERE. And you can be certain that they've got at least 3+ yrs worth of loose ends to tie-up even before it came up for a vote amongst other MLB teams -- which would be like the 2nd or 3rd highest hurdle, IMO.
The only way this situation ends prior to a 3-5 yr elapse, is if Selig tells the A's to look elsewhere.
There's no way the G's are counting their chickens, yet.
They had a hard enough time counting Sanchez's last yr.
Very much doubt they're counting on any possible money in the near future
