which is a good thing. He could be waiting to make his next move if that is what you mean. This can be a fast paced market and environment. Sabean has offered up a couple of his key relievers to see what it would bring, he's talked with Crisp and Pierre, and tried to get backup IFs. He seems realistic about the chances of bringing back Beltran and has said the right things about that situation.
As for Beltran, I agree he owes no loyalty to Giants, but he should have some for the Mets. It would be horrible if he went back there. I think Yankees or Red Sox or another big market team will get him. We're not exactly small market, but sometimes we're treated that way.
I don't think Sabean is sitting on his hands waiting...
