While I COMPLETELY agree w/ the premise, we're essentially spiting our own efforts by dealing ANY and ALL youth in deals similar to the Beltran trade. If this is the new organizational philosophy, then we need Sabean to adjust his trade deadline routine.
If we're not gonna be signing long-term fixes via FreeAgency, then we can't be mortgaging our youth for a 2 month jab at a PO spot. Just can't do it like that...completely inconsistent w/ the homegrown talent infusion model that they seem to be advocating for by default of FA means.
