Before there was league pass, they used to have Giants Vision. I caught about every game that year, even though the Giants were mediocre, it was so cool watching home games.

Late in 1986 the Giants, by now out of the race, played a 16 inning game vs. the Dodgers. Minton had a tough year and was getting a lot of criticism, but in this game he totally rocked. He threw 5 innings of relief, hit a double and when he scored the game winning run he jumped on the plate and gave the old fist pump with a huge grin.

The Giants were playing Jeff Robinson in the outfield (post game they said he was yelling "Hit it to me") and Joel Youngblood at short (his range not so good but the arm... damn... it really showed how much strong an outfielder's arm tends to be).

It was such a cool game to watch, especially after a few gin and tonics and a bit of a hangover the next day. Extra innings, what can you do?

Hopefully my memory is like 75% accurate or so on this.
