It would be insulting. However, I am not the Mets. What makes it worse is the Giants and Sabean were the ones who got stuck with it.
Here's what Sabean had to say after the deal went down.
Good move? Beltran got 7-years, $119-million. Is that how you show your appreciation by putting that in the contract? Personally, I would not offer a high-priced deal with a "no arbitration" clause in it.
