when the guy was swiping 50+ bags and getting near 200 hits a year. But now, it would be crazy to invest that much long term money on a player who has a history of leg issues especially when it is his speed that makes him so dynamic. Granted, the guy had a phenomenal year last year but his career trajectory has been on a consistent downward trend for the past several seasons. If they'd be willing to spend that much money they'd be better off going all in on Fielder.
