where his unusually high power output is what compensates for the lower BAvg/Contact rate.
If you take that away from either of those guys, their skill-set looks MUCH more pedestrian. We saw what that looks like w/ Torres' production last yr.
In theory, speed guys like Torres and Sizemore could makeup for the loss of HR's at AT+T w/ more doubles and triples...but the hard truth is that the NL -- and the NL West specifically -- have bulked up on uber-quick defenders in the last couple yrs which has generally cutdown on the amount of extra bases available to speed guys.
I mean, just look at the RF'ers in the bigger NL West ballparks. Andre Either is really the only guy who is borderline substandard and even his Defensive problem is more about his angles/instincts than actual playing speed AND he's flanked by Matt Kemp in CF. Justin Upton flanked by Chris Young in AZ , Seth Smith flanked by Dexter Fowler in COL, Will Venable flanked by Maybin in SD...all those guys can RUN and take away extra base opportunities.
ya, but the *good* Sizemore is actually remarkably similar to the *Good* Andres Torres

In Reply to: I don't see the "AT&T is not a hitters park" angle unless your a HR/fly ball hitter. Otherwise, there is plenty of room for doubles and triples.
