I'd almost rather play Darren Ford and Ross, and wait another year for Brown. Big questions are, did Nate have a career year last year or did he turn the corner (he did, after all, change his stance), and, assuming they don't sign Beltran, can Belt be productive.
Then hope Sabean lucks out on picking the right proven major league veterans that can add some pop off the bench.
If the offense could just get back to mediocre this could be a world series team next year.
plus they say he's not really a center fielder anymore. Which would be important in AT&T park.
