People/Evaluators do seem to be in love w/ Upton's tools, tho. Despite the fact that he's shown almost no chance of entirely fulfilling that promise.

For the most part, I'd put the value of a decent-hitting CF (as the rarity that it is) on par w/ that of a middle-of-the-rotation LHanded SP. It's really just the age difference and slight glimmer of possibility in Upton that separates their value, IMO.

If teams have decided to think of Upton as a "he is, what he is" kind of talent, then whatever perceived difference in value between him and Sanchez is probably negated by how *expensive* Upton's next contract would be in contrast to that of buying low on Sanchez.
