Sabean and Bochy have stated what they wish to address and the reality is there are a limited number of players that fit the description of what they're looking for with major roadblocks and red flags for all of them.
I don't know enough about Cuddyer, or Minnesota's park for that matter, to make any judgements but a 32 year old vet coming from the AL doesn't sound too enticing. He certainly sounds like a Sabean signing.
At the end of the day, the Giants' brass is going to count on internal development and a healthy season, no matter who they bring in. Which by all accounts, isn't such a bad way to go.
I still maintain that we won't be seeing any significant moves this offseason
