I'm not blaming Nate for the injury, but I think Beltran would have nailed Cousins at the plate. Beltran has bad knees, misses games due to injury, and his attitude sucks, but his arm is golden. Nate is probably a better fielder in terms of diving, getting to balls, and stuff, but Beltran was a three-time gold glove. I'm not sure if he still can do it on defense, but I would not question his cannon of an arm.
Nate does not have a better arm than Beltran. He threw short to Buster on that horrible play.
