the problem is that the shift from the ride-Bonds philosophy to the develop from within is not seamless because of all the sacrificed and wasted draft picks. At this point, there aren't a lot of ways to stay competitive without mortgaging the future.
While the offseason moves haven't wowed anyone, I don't have a real problem with the direction. Now I wait to see how the players are handled, which is another necessary point of improvement.
